RaiBahadur is a wealthy businessman living with his wife Laxmi. They are distressed for not being able to conceive a child of their own for many years. On a trip to Shimla however, they adopt their house help’s son and name him Vicky. Thing take a turn for the worse when Laxmi dies in a horrific car accident leaving her new-born son Amar behind. The servant’s wife Parvati, wants to return Amar to RaiBahadur but he prevents her from doing that. She nevertheless flees to Bombay but is unable to locate the businessman. Amar soon grows up to be a police inspector while Vicky is a hopeless alcoholic.
The film is directed by K C Bokadia and produced by Suresh Bokadia. The music is composed by Channi Singh. The film’s star cast includes Ajay Devgan, Karishma Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Mukesh Khanna, Kulbhushan, Kharbandaa, Parikshit Sahni, Mahavir Shah, Ajit,Tiku Talsania,Shashi Kiran Beena Banerjee, Anjana Mumtaz and Suneeta.
