Rahul Khanna, played by Abhishek Bachchan is a spoilt son of a wealthy industrialist. His father has no time for his family and son and thus is mostly busy in making money and enjoying his life. Rahul on the other hand is always getting into trouble with the law, but manages to escape somehow. He pushes hi sluck too far at times and for the kicks enjoys playing pranks and road rage with his friends. One day he crosses his limits when he is late for his flight to the US. While being stuck in a traffic jam he meddles with the traffic lights and turns them all green, resulting in his arrest by the cops.

DCP Bhosle, played by Om Puri decides to teach Rahul such a lesson that he never takes law in his hands again. Neha, played by Hrishitaa Bhatt takes inspiration from a news article she recently read and gives the idea of making Rahul do community service. Rahul is then asked by the court judge to spend time with senior citizens in an old age home. Rahul’s life is turned up side down as he is reluctant to live there and get along with the old people but eventually it reforms him.
