Arjun Dutt is a brave and diligent police officer and has a
reputation for catching criminals and solving the most
complicated cases. Then there is news in the city of a series of
gruesome murders of women. The point to be noted here is
that all women are either prostitutes or have a tainted
character. This becomes a high profile case and Arjun is put on
duty to catch the culprit. He however tells his superiors a
shocking truth that he knows who the killer is. This takes the
other officers aback with shock. He tells them that he is sure
the killer is non other than Vikram aka Devendra.
Turns out, at one point of time, Vikram and Arjun used to be
the best of friends during their college days. They also had a
common love interest called Kiran. After this accusation
against him, all the police department is aghast why would an
old friend accuse someone of just a horrid crime. But there is
more to the truth than meets the eye. The film is directed by
Ketan Anand and produced by Aroon Mahajan. The music is
composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Naseeruddin
Shah, Shabana Azmi, Kanwaljeet, Trilok Kapoor, Dina Pathak,
Tom Alter, Mac Mohan, Gautam Sarin, Sarika and Shyamlee
Verma.
