The story of Shikara revolves around the displacement of Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus from Kashmir. This leads to a lot of distress in the state where thousands are rendered homeless and violence breaks out in the peaceful beautiful serene region. The film also showcases the eternal love story of Shiv and Shanti, who never let go of hope and keep their love alive in trying times. The film is a story of triumph and courage in times of hopelessness. The film is directed and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film’s screenplay is written by Rahul Pandita, Abhijat Joshi and Vishu Vinod Chopra.
The film’s star cast includes Aadil Khan and Sadia. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya, Abhay Sopori and Rohit Kulkarni. The cinematography is by Rangarajan Ramabadran.

Shikara released on the 7th February 2020, the film is basically a love story of a Hindu Kashmiri during the evacuation of the Hindus from Kashmir. The migration that was forced upon more than 400,00,00 Kashmiri Pandits who had fled from Kashmir Valley is the base of the story line.
