Aaliya, played by Aida El-Kashef is a visually impaired photographer and has waited for a long time to get her vision back. After a while the moment of truth is in front of her when her cornea replacement surgery is done and it’s a success. However, Aaliya is finding it hard to adjust to her new visual surroundings and isn’t pleased with the kind of photography she’s doing.
Meanwhile Maitreya a Jain monk, is protesting along with others to ban animal testing. However, one day he is diagnosed with liver Cirrhosis and has to depend on animal tested medicines to stay alive, they very people he was against. An Indian broker gets a kidney transplant and is recovering well when he hears of a poor bricklayer, Shankar who’s kidney was stolen and fears it might be given to him. But turns out its given to someone in Sweden and decides to help Shankar get it back.
The movie gives a brief explanation of the Platonic Allegory of the cave, which tells us the different effects of people who have gained education versus the ones who haven’t. The movie is directed by Anand Gandhi and produced by Sohum Shah, Mukesh Shah and Amita Shah. The music is composed by Benedict Taylor and Naren Chandavarkar.
