Farhad, played by Boman Irani, is a 45 year old unmarried Parsi man living with his pushy mother and grandmother. He works as a women’s bra and panty salesman and love his job a little too much. His mother, in a desperate attempt to get him married, makes him visit Parsi matrimony services and meet women almost every other day.
One day a woman named Shirin, played by Farah Khan, comes to his store and they become friendly. Eventually after several meetings they fall in love and Farhad takes her home to meet his mother and grandmother. However, his mother recognizes her to be the cunning Parsi Trust Secretary who got their illegal water tank removed. His mother rejects her right away and Farhad is mighty upset at the turn of events. There after their relationship goes through several ups and downs but in the end the love between Shirin and Farhad wins and they decide to get married despite all odds.
