The VAS College of commerce and science has been terrorized by a student named JD, who is also the president of the student’s union in college. He is well connected and so powerfully influential that even the college principal cannot take any action against him for acts like eve-teasing, assaulting, ragging, etc. He has been going about with this behavior and no one dares to speak up against him. A new student named Shiva then joins college. His confident demeanor and tough defiance gets to JD. He locks horns with Shiva only to be beaten by him. Shiva makes it clear that no one can mess with him and his friends. He even asks his nerdy friend Naresh to stand for election of president. But he is beaten up one day and physically not able to contest thus Shiva takes his place.
Meanwhile a gangster named Bhawani who has taken JD under his wings, sees potential in Shiva and wants to replace JD with him. Shiva however irks him by helping out a worker’s union leader Krishna. He then attacks Shiva’s home but Shiva fights back and kills Bhavani. The film is directed by Ram Gopal Verma and produced by A Venkat. The music is composed by Illaiyaraja. The star cast includes Nagarjuna,Raghuvaran,Brij Gopal, Amla, Paresh Rawal,Girija Shankar,Goga Kapoor,Dilip Dhawan,Iftekhar,Brij Gopal,Chandrashekhar,Prithvi Zutshi, Rohini Hattangadi and Beena.
