Chaudhary, played by Ashutosh Rana is a well-respected politician who fights for the peoples cause in Uttar Pradesh. His opposition leader is Ranjit, played by Jimmy Shergill who wants to win the elections anyhow. He gets support from a local Maulana who is busy collecting funds.
Raghu, played by Anirudh Dave is Chaudhary’s son and he falls in love with a Muslim girl called Zainab, played by Suha Gezen. Problem is, Zainab is already engaged to a muslim boy called Saleem, played by Hiten Tejwani. Saleem warns Raghu and he backs off but Zainab insists he meet her. One day, things get out of hand when Zainab and Raghu meet and Saleem kills Raghu.
The murder of Raghu spirals into a huge community riot in the city. Ranjit and the Maulana use this to their advantage and escalate the riot situation where Saleem also ends up getting killed. While Chaudhary was shielding Zainab, Ranjit’s men kill him. He eventually wins the elections but Zainab seeks her revenge by eventually killing Ranjit.
Shorgul is directed by Pranav Kumar Singh and produced by Swatantra Vijay Singh and Vyas Verma. The music is composed by Lalit Pandit.
