Shekhar, played by Akshaye Khanna works as an assisitant director and dreams of making his own feature film some day. His friend Raju, played by Arshad Warsi is a struggling actor and hopes to star in Shekhar’s movie. However before he knows it, Shekhar refuses to take him in it and is on the look out for another face. This upsets Raju and he steals Shekhar’s script and decides to make a film using the script. The film becomes a blockbuster and Raju becomes an overnight sensation.
A dejected Shekhar is also left by his girlfriend Mansi played by Amrita Rao. Feeling demotivated and depressed, Shekhar takes matters into his own hands and decides to write another script and offer it to Raju. This time the tables have turned and Raju rejects the movie. Shekhar thus hatches a plan to secretly record Raju without him knowing and use the footage for the movie. The movie releases and Raju becomes a public humiliation and a laughing stock among his fans. Shekhar meanwhile becomes popular and Raju a huge flop.
The movie is directed by Neeraj Vora and produced by Rajat Rawail, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Rhea Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
