Dushyant is a happy-go-lucky man who lives by principles. He close to his uncle Vishwamitra who is a professor and a firm believer in men staying single. He thus runs an association for single men. Dushyant promises his uncle that he would never get involved with a woman and remain single just like him. Soon Dushyant leaves for a vacation to a hill station, and there he meets the beautiful Shakuntala. She is drawn by his aloofness and intelligence and falls in love with him. He however keeps ignoring her advances. Her persistence later pays off and Dushyant ends up falling in love with Shakuntala.
When Vishwamitra hears about Shakuntala and Dushyant, he is furious and goes to meet him. However in a strange turn of events, Vishwamitra himself ends up falling in love with Shakuntala. The film is directed by Deepak Anand Kher and produced by Shakeel Noorani. The music is composed by Nadeem Shravan. The cinematography is by Dinesh Telkar. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Anupam Kher, TikuTalsania, Ghanshyam, Dinesh Hingoo, Annu Kapoor and Reema Lagoo.
