Bajirao Singham, played by Ajay Devgn is Deputy Comissioner of Police in Mumbai and learns of the fact that one of his team members mysteriously dies in a car accident with bags full of money. He decides to investigate the truth and comes to know of Babaji, played by Amole Gupte, who is a corrupt and conniving godman. He kills Guruji, played by Anupam Kher in the midst of high security by Singham. Singham swears revenge.
He makes his family believe that he has quit the police force and goes back to Shivgarh to collect evidence against Babaji. On learning this Babaji and his associate Prakash, played by Zakir Hussain, starts threatening all his family members including his girlfriend Avni, played by Kareena Kapoor.
One of Babaji’s henchmen Altaf, played by Pankaj Tripathi recovers from a coma and agrees to testify against him. Eventually Babaji and Prakash get arrested. Just before his trial the witnesses get killed and they are released on bail.
Singham and his team later torture Prakash and Babaji to tell the truth at their house, which they finally reveal, and record. Few days later when both the criminals are taken in a police van a horrible accident takes place and Prakash and Babaji are killed on the spot, all of which was planned by Singham to take revenge.
The movie is directed and produced by Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn. Dialogues are written by Shahid-Farhad and music is composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Jeet Gannguli, Ankit Tiwari and Meet Bros.
Bajirao Singham is back again with his own style of a strict, disciplined cop. Amol gupte is perfectly cast.So overall, Rohit Shetty's action film is fairly decent despite a predictable story.
