Sonu works in Mr. Naths’s house, where his wife and daughter Nisha too stay. He works hard and is afraid of them. One day while ironing Nisha’s dress he accidentally burns it. Nath is furious and puts the hot iron on his back, giving him a nasty scar. Sonu is sadly arrested. Years later Sonu grows up an angry young man and now calls himself Shankar, who helps to free convicted criminals and then nabs them for a hefty price to the officials. This becomes his lucrative career. One day Shankar comes to know of a man called Jai who is arrested for a murder. He helps him escape but before that learns an important fact that he is Nisha’s lover. This gives Shankar a good opportunity to take revenge on Mr.Nath and his daughter finally. He forces Nisha to marry him or he will make sure Jai gets the death sentence. Nisha has no choice but to do as Shankar says. The film is directed by Raj N Sippy and produced by Bikram Singh Dehal and Bikram Sippy. The music is composed by R D Burman. The screenplay and story is written by Humayun Mirza,Mahrukh Mirza,Shahrukh Mirza. The star cast includes Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Parveen Babi, Poonam Dhillon, Shreeram Lagu, Prem Chopra and Jagdish Raaj.
