Jaswinder (Jassi), played by Ajay Devgn and Balwinder (Billu), played by Sanjay Dutt are each other's sworn enemies since their families are battling the death of their patriarchs by the other. Jassi moves to London to study while Billu stays in his hometown of Punjab to avenge his father’s death. Jassi gets a call about his land in Punjab being bought by the government so he comes to Punjab for the land deal. On arriving in Punjab he meets Sukhmeet, played by Sonakshi Sinha and falls in love with her.
Meanwhile Jassi also meets Billu and they becomes friends wherein Billu invites him to his house. Later Jassi realizes that Sukhmeet is Billu’s sister and Billu is his arch rival. Billu too realizes that Jassi’s full name is Jaswinder, but his mother has always taught him that you can never harm a house guest so he waits for him to leave the house to kill him finally. Getting a hint of Billu’s ideas Jassi too thinks of a plan to escape effortlessly. The movie then turns into a comedy caper.
