Born of Canadian Indian origin, Rajveer, played by Vinay Virmani is an aspiring ice hockey player. Every chance he gets, he uses it to practice and get better at the game. He is just not interested in his family truck driving business. However, another huge obstacle in his way of ice hockey is discrimination and racism that has been plaguing Indians or colored people living abroad. Thus he is not able to fulfill his dream of being a professional player.
Rajveer, determined to play professional ice hockey, decides to form his own team with the neighborhood Punjabi boys who are also die-hard fans of the game. He manages to somehow make a team with a lot of challenges and now wants a coach to get the team ready and prepared for the ultimate game. They happen to find a local coach, played by Rob Lowe, who agrees to coach them.
Now that the team and coach is ready, one big hurdle still needs to be crossed, and that is Rajveer’s father, played by Anupam Kher, who thinks that the best career option for him is participating in the flourishing truck driving business. He has to somehow convince his dad that he is a fantastic ice hockey player and thus it is the only and best option for Rajveer.
The movie is directed by Robert Lieberman and produced by Akshay Kumar and Ajay Virmani. The music is composed by Sandeep Chowta and Meet Bros Anjan Ankit. The star cast includes Vinay Virmani, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Russell Peters, Gurpreet Guggi, Rob Lowe, Noureen Dewulf and Sakina Jaffrey.
