Jagat Prasad has two beautiful daughters Janki and Jyoti. Janki
is educated and smart while Jyoti is simple and not so qualified.
Ram Babu takes care of Jagat’s agricultural lands and he gets
married to Janki. However Jyoti is in love with him too. Janki
and Ram after a few years have a baby girl and their family
seems complete but trouble arises with the entry of Jagat
Prasad’s friend’s grandson Murali who is a bright and energetic
man. Janki seems to be drawn to him instantly and soon falls in
love with him. She then leaves Ram and her daughter Meena
and elopes with Murali. Jagat Prasad then convinces Ram to
marry Jyoti.
Soon Janki realizes her mistake. Murali meanwhile is feeling
depressed that she will leave him and commits suicide. Janki is
shocked but returns to her village and asks for Ram’s
forgiveness before dying. The film is directed by K Raghvendra
Rao and produced by V Kanaka Raju. The music is composed
by Bappi Lahiri and the story is written by P Arunnachalam.
The star cast includes Jeetendra, Sridevi, Padmini Kolhapure,
Tanuja, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Asrani, Pran, Raj Babbar,
Aruna Irani and Zeenaat Chandrshekhar.
