In the heart of Mumbai, India lies a small town of Malegaon, where the people live a very humble life full of struggles. With the on going economic glitches and communal conflicts, the town is getting restless and wants a break from it all. The harsh reality of life is escaped with a world of fantasy and make-belief. This is where the world of cinema comes as a big relief for the people of Malegaon. Creativity is at its very best, when a group of young filmmakers come together to make low-budger, socially responsible and eccentric movies for the people to escape their life’s misery.
The filmmakers use their humorous side to make spoofs of popular Bollywood movies. From Bollywood they now move on to Hollywood and make movie on super heroes like Superman. This documentary shows what challenges and preps have gone through to make these fantastic feel good low cost or sometimes no cost movies.
The movie takes us through a journey of emotions and hardships that the people of Malegoan are so used to. We discover the small town and its people who come from all economic backgrounds and yet stand as one when time tests them. The movie is directed by Faiza Ahmad Khan and produced by Junichi Katayama, Faiza Ahmad Khan, Chung-yong Park, Siddharth Thakur and Gargey Trivedi. The music is composed by Sneha Khanwalkar and Hitesh Sonik.
