Prof. Saxena and Dr. Gupta have been close friends for many years and live in Los Angeles USA. Gupta is single and wants to get hitched with a traditional and well-natured Indian girl. Thus they print an advertisement in the newspaper calling for all prospective girls for Gupta. They then travel to Bombay, India to meet the girls who have answered his ad. Out of them is a girl Sunita, who Gupta likes and soon they get married. He
goes back to the US, with the promise that he will send her flights tickets and he does. Sunita travels from Bombay to LA via New York. At the airport someone slips cocaine into her bag and it reaches undetected in New York. Later Gupta and Saxena with his wife reach the airport waiting for her but she never shows up. They get a calls saying that Sunita has been kidnapped. Turns out Sunita is not who she seems. The film is directed and produced by Jagmohan Mundhra. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Sanjeev Kumar, Parikshat Sahni, Shabana Azmi, Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim, Hema Malini, Asha Sachdev and Gita Siddharth.
