Tahaan goes in search of his donkey named Birbal after he collects money from various means. He hands over the cash to the moneylender and asks to return Birbal, but sadly he has already sold it to an old man named Subhan, played by Anupam Kher. So Tahaan goes quickly in search of Subhan who he sees with his assistant Zafar, played by Rahul Bose. Subhan asks Tahaan to compete in a race and on winning he will be given Birbal. Even after winning the race he is refused Birbal and this makes Tahaan very upset and sad. Zafar feels sorry for the child and gives him his sunglasses instead but Tahaan refuses them.
Later Tahaan meets Idrees who takes advantage of the situation and asks him to deliver a package across if he wants his donkey back. Tahaan desperate to get Birbal agrees. The package has a grenade and Tahaan takes the pin out but later changes his mind and throws it into the river. Subhan’s nephews tells him how much Tahaan loves his donkey and requests his uncle to return it back to him. The movie is directed by Santosh Sivan and produced by Shripal Morakhia. The music is composed by Taufique Qureshi.
