Emperor Jahangir’s favorite son was Shah Jahan aka Khurram, he wants Khurram to become the next emperor. Jahangir marries Noor Jahan after her first husband dies and has a daughter Ladli Begum. Noor Jahan wants Ladli Begum to marry Khurram and become the empress of the Mughal dynasty. However, during a hunting activity, Khurram meets Arjumand bano and falls for her beauty and innocence. Seeing this as coming in the way, Noor Jahan conspires Jahangir to go against his own son.

A war breaks out where Jahangir sends his troops against Khurram and so does Noor Jahan. However Khurram declares that Arjumand is more powerful than Jahangir and things get even more bitter between son and father. Arjumand Bano insists Khurram marry where his father wants him to and thus he marries Kandahari, an Iranian Princess. After the death of Jahangir, Khurram marries Arjumand Bano, who becomes Mumtaz Mahal. But their happiness is short lived. When Shah Jahan goes to war, a pregnant Mumtaz Mahal accompanies him but unfortunately dies while giving birth to the nineteenth child. Before dying she asks Shah Jahan to build her a beautiful mausoleum as her final resting place, so as to express their undying love. The Taj Mahal was built to honor Mumtaz Mahal and is the seventh wonder of the world. The movie is directed and produced by Akbar Khan. The music is composed by Naushad Ali.
