Vicky and Raju have been childhood friends and inseparable as kids. They went to the same school, played the same sports and helped each other in studies as well. Their friendship was like a benchmark for all in the school and community. Things take a drastic turn however during the summer break as many things lead to complications in their lives. Raju has a horrific accident where he loses his eyesight, while Vicky’s mother dies in childbirth. Vicky’s father is now on the run from the police for murdering a man. The friends separate and grow up to be responsible individuals. Raju is now a police inspector and called Inspector Rajiv, while Vicky has turned into a notorious criminal called Vikram Pratap. Both are now on the opposite side of the law and are hell bent on destroying the other.
The film is directed by Ramesh Ahuja and produced by Prasan Kapoor. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the story and screenplay is written by K B Pathak. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Rajnikanth, Kimi, Sumeet Saigal, Amrita Singh, Bhanupriya, Iftekhar, Nilu Phule, Shreeram Lagu,Murad, Satyen Kappu, Sudhir Dalvi, Krishnkant, Vikas Anand, Rohini Hattangadi, Sulabha Deshpande and Beena.
