Tanu Weds Manu Returns a romantic drama film released in 2015 , directed by Aanand L. Rai , a sequel of the film Tanu Weds Manu of 2011. Starring R. Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut in dual role, Jimmy Sheirgill, Deepak Dobriyal and Swara Bhaskar.
In the film where Kangana Ranaut portrays the role of a Haryanvi athlete with the dialect of Haryanvi, got a lot of applaud from the movie buffs.
Four years after their wedding, Tanu(Kangana Ranaut) and Manu(R Madhavan)’s marriage is about to collapse with Tanu’s false allegations against her husband. Some of them hilarious and the challenges the couple face with each other, bickering and enraged at each other, with rising tempers by Manu he is taken into custody as the doctor suspect mental health . Taun returns to her home in Kanpur. Gets his best friend Pappi(Deepak Dobriyal) to Manu release from the mental Rehabilitation centre. Manu who hates Tanu for what she did to him still loves her. He returns to India .
One day when he is on his way to the Delhi university to give a medical speech he comes across Kusum, a Haryanvi athlete (Kangana Ranaut) who resembles Tanu and gets obsessed with her and starts following her. Manu tells her about Tanu and his broken marriage and soon they develop feelings for each other.
All wedding preparations start and after a lot of melodrama in the days ahead, Tanu is shattered to see her husband get married to another woman and realizes she loves him dearly and cannot lose him but he brushes her off and tells her he has moved on in life and has found Kusum the ideal wife. On the day of the wedding in the wedding mantap, Kusum stops the rituals and confronts Manu who admits he is still in love with his ex-wife Tanu and confesses he cannot marry her as he has Tanu in his heart. Kusum gracefully steps back and walks off to break their wedding rituals. Tanu and Manu reunite as lovers in arms and with a happy ending but in quiet, Kusum locks herself in private and breaks down.
Raja (Jimmy Sheirgill) who was engaged to Kusum earlier probably marries her as they show it in the credits.
