Ram Yadav, is an honest, diligent and responsible police officer who works within the frame work of the law. He lives with his elder brother and sister-in-law. A small time thief called Pooja falls for him and starts staying in his house. Meanwhile the influential man Appa Rao’s son tries to molest a girl in his college but she refuses to give in and humiliates him in public. Unabel to bear the insult, he sets the innocent girl on fire in broad daylight, in front of the public. No one dares to come and save the girl and neither do they testify against the culprit. When Ram hears this, he immediately arrests Appa’s son. Appa Rao is infuriated with this and plans to take revenge from Ram.
The movie is directed by Vimal Kumar and produced by Vinod Malhotra. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and the lyrics are written by Sameer. The screenplay and story is written by S Khan. The cinematography is by Anil Dhanda and the choreography is by Chinni Prakash, Rekha Chinni Prakash and Tara. The star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Sonali Bendre, Mohnish Bahl, Amrish Puri, Anil Dhawan, Shashi Sharma, Ranjeet, Kader Khan, Tej Sapru, Tiku Talsania, Harish Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Akbar Bakshi, Rana Jung Bahadur, Dinesh Hingoo, K K Raj, Guddi Maruti and Shubha Khote.
