Conman Tabrek, played by Akshay Kumar is a notorious criminal who recently was deported from France and sent back to India. Police officers Chatterjee, played by Aman Verma and Mukherjee, played by Murli Sharma, seized him, but he somehow manages to escape. His wife is Anya Khan, played by Katrina Kaif, who is a struggling Bollywood actress. He takes up a job given by the Johri brothers to rob a train full of antiques. He fools the village people into helping him and also a greedy actor Aatish Kapoor, by telling him that he will be the main actor in his film.
Later Tabrez unknowingly raids a child abduction racket and the villagers get their long lost children back. He then feels guilty of having fooled them and decides to really make a film. Unfortunately they all get arrested while the Johri brother’s escape with the loot. Later the film becomes a superhit and Tabrek and his mother become rich, while Aatish Kapoor gets an Oscar. The entire village opens their own Saloons and Anya becomes the brand ambassador of a hair removal cream.
The movie is directed by Farah Khan and produced by Twinkle Khanna, Shirish Kunder and Ronnie Screwvala. The music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and Shirish Kunder.
