Tennis Buddies directed by Sohail Tatari and screen play by Anoop Wadhwa starring Dakshita Patel, Madhu Anand Chandhock, Divya Dutta, Ranvir Shorey, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, Amar Talwar and Darshan Gurjar.
The movie is about a woman from a small town who wins against all odds. A victory of a human spirit who executes guts and a tale of good Samaritans of Faridabad.
The small town girl Anushka who dares to liberate herself from her father who is tennis obsessed coach. Though she is an apple of her parent’s eye, her father Dilip is ambitious to train her to become India’s premier tennis player. She fights through the male dominated society of Haryana and emerges as a winner accomplishing her goal to get out of the long standing hostility from her father and dwell peace with her father. She goes on to win the Interclub tournament for her club bringing pride to her father and thus fulfilling his goal in life. The film is also about the father daughter relationship that is strained due to the gender disparity among many other reasons and one of them being the game of tennis.
