The movie’s story revolves around a couple who meet at three different time periods. In 1960, Govind, played by Shahid Kapoor, is an aspiring musician and he meets an aspiring actress Ruksar, played by Priyanka Chopra on a train while travelling to Mumbai and get acquainted. The two meet again at a party and realize that a journalist is following them. He holds the hand of another girl he’s friends with Radhika, played by Prachi Desai. Little does he know that Radhika as well as Ruksar have both fallen for him and learning of this love triangle they all part ways.

 

In 2012 at a London college, Krish, played by Shahid and Radha, played by Priyanka are in love after he breaks up with his girlfriend Meera. Meera on learning of his new love interest uploads embarrassing pictures of him and Radha sees it and breaks up with him. In 1910, during the British Raj, Javed, played by Shahid Kapoor, a Punjabi Muslim boy falls in love with Aradhana, played by Priyanka Chopra. He is a womanizer, which upsets her. She is later forcibly married off by her father but her husband dies and while he’s on his way to be married stops the wedding seeing her in widow’s attire and decides to marry her.

 

In the end all the three couples unite and get married. The movie is directed by Kunal Kohli and produced by Vicky Bahri, Sunil Lulla and Kunal Kohli. The music is composed by Sajid-Wajid.
