The dialogue for Pa Ranjith's 2024 historical Tamil film Thangalaan, also known as Thangalan, was written by Tamizh Prabha. Malavika Mohan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Harikrishnan, and several others played supporting parts with Chiyaan Vikram, who played the key roles. The film's music and background score were written by G.V. Prakash Kumar, while Kishor Kumar handled the photography and Selva Rk handled the editing. This movie was produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja under the auspices of Studio Green and Neelam Productions. Thangalaan is a historical drama film based on true events that happened in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). Ranjith had previously directed Natchathiram Nagargirathu, while Vikram had previously starred in Ponniyin Selvan by Mani Ratnam.
