Amrita’s life seems to be like a fairytale story. She marries the love of her life and her everything is perfect, until reality hits her into her marriage after a few months. While at a party, one night, Amrita’s husband is engrossed in a serious conversation with someone. One thing leads to another and in a drunken state he ends up slapping her hard in front of all the party guests. This shatters Amrita to no end and she questions everything that she thought her marriage stood for. Heartbroken, she is unable to come to terms with the fact that the love of her life physically abused her, even though everyone around seems to think it was only a slap. Amrita begins to evaluate her life and marriage thereafter.
The film is directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Amit J Chaudhary, Bhushan Kumar, Sagar Shirgaonkar and Shilpan Vyas Tinu. The star cast includes Taapsee Pannu, Pavail Gulati, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Dia Mirza and Ram Kapoor.
