The Dark Side of Live: The Mumbai City released on 23rd November 2018 is directed by Tarique Khan, produced by Rajesh Pardasani for the production company Lakshya Productions, Music is by Rashid Khan Shaan, Asif Raj Prakash, Prabhakar Ehsaan, Khan Sabir Khan and Sandeep Batraa.
Starring debut entry as an actor by veteran director Mahesh Bhat along with Kay Kay Menon, Neha Khan, Alisha Khan Zohra and Deepak Rana.
The story is set in the city of Mumbai and depicts the lives of seven different individuals, who living in the city are in a situational depression. How their paths cross each other for better or worse through the clutches of the life’s difficulties that ultimately pushes them over the fence.
The film is an attempt to portray the darker side of the big city like Mumbai and how in order to blend and gel with the society, people live up beyond their means and expectations making mistakes and realizing that living in a metro city is not all that rosy as it seems to be
Mahesh Bhat plays the role of father pinning for his child comes across as a natural actor with much as he is into direction of a film. Despite the story not being too strong, he renders a good performance along with a seasoned actor Kay Kay Menon.
