Born in 1907, Bhagat Singh saw his country men go through many atrocities by the ruthless British who entered India in the guise of starting trade in the name of East India Company. They then dominated the people and made living hell for them. Bhagat Singh was deeply disturbed after the Jallianwala Bagh incident and swore to free India, come what may. As an adult he joined the Hindustan Republic Association and was subsequently jailed. His father bailed him out and asked him top marry a girl named Mannewali. But Bhagat runs away from home saying that his love is his country.
After the incident where Lala Lajpatrai is beaten to death brutally by the British, Bhagat Singh and his comrades Rajguru, Sukhdev, and Chandrashekhar Azad, decide to avenge his death. They assassinate a British official named Saunders. They then arrested and publicly tried in court. Bhagat along with Thapar and Rajguru, take up a 63 day hunger strike to improve the condition of Indian political prisoners. Meanwhile when Azad is about to be captured by the British he commits suicide by shooting himself with the last bullet in his pistol. Later Bhagat, Rajguru and Thapar are hanged to death on March 23 1931.
