This coming of age story is about Raju Tawde (Moin Khan) who lives a carefree life, watching films and being a happy go lucky boy. But luck is not in his favor and he is on for a rude shock when he comes to face the reality of life when his father (Sagar Kale) a lift man is the sole earning member of the family falls ill with heart attack and Raju is forced to take up an employment.
Raju’s father persuades him to take up his place as the liftman until he recovers for a posh housing society in Mumbai. With much reluctance Raju agrees to take up the job and initially hates it but soon becomes friends with an aspiring actress called the Princess (Aneesha Shah) who is being pushed by her ambitious mother and Maureen (Nyla Masood) is the silver haired owner of the building that he is working for, and she hopes to create a masterpiece with her painting.
The film has a simple story of an unusual friendship across generations that focuses on simplicity that brings insight to the Urban poverty or the lack of education or employment which is not easy, or the hurdles that one faces due to lack of the English speaking skills and the cultural differences between the rich and the middle class.
