The Past is a 2018 horror thriller directed by Gagan Puri and is produced by Jaspal Singh and Nitish Kumar under the banner of Peacock Motion Filmz.
Script written by Sandip V. Rale featuring Vedita Pratap Singh, Samiksha Bhatt, Yuvraaj Parashar and Rajesh Sharma in the lead roles.
The film released on 11th May 2018 is about Simran a young and upcoming novelist who one day receives a telephone call from an owner of a publishing house, Yuvraj. He asks Simran to write a book for which he has the plot, which requires Simran and her sister Alia to go to his bungalow in Lonavla.
Some dark secrets trigger off upon the arrival of the two sisters and the story moves on when the sisters start living in the bungalow and they notice some paranormal activities. Simran the writer gets possessed. Traumatized by what she is seeing her sister calls her best friend Disha to help her out. When Disha arrives at the bungalow she finds Simran totally mesmerized by the spirit. she finds it extremely difficult to control the spirit.
The second half of the film brings out the hidden secrets of the bungalow that is haunted and she calls Mr. Rajesh to save the girl from the spirit which further opens up to horrific truth of the past.
