Ravi Goel is an alcoholic lawyer and does not get cases due to his habit of always speaking the truth. He lives with his widowed mother and sister Shashi who also has to work to run the family. She is in love with Ranbir and soon becomes pregnant with his child. She is however afraid to marry him, as she worries how will her family survive without her. Ranbir thus encourages Ravi to take up more cases to fight in court. One day a tea stall owner confides in Ravi about a bar dancer who’s brother has been missing for a long time. He then falls in love with the dancer and also helps in solving the case of her missing brother.
The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Paul Arora and V B Soni. The music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji. The story and screenplay is written by Suraj Sanim. The star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Smita Patil,Amrita Singh, Rohini Hattangadi, Madan Puri and Anupam Kher.
