In the town of Sariput, which is a Buddhist town, around 200 B.C, a horrible sandstorm strikes killing everyone in its way. The only survivors left are two monks and two children; a girl named Iti and a boy named Nirvana. As time passes, the two monks grow old and frail while the girl and boy have grown up to be young adults and eventually fall in love. The monks are not happy about this. One of them tries to persuade the boy to become a monk but he is attracted back to the girl with her charms. This is the time another sandstorm will strike the town killing everyone.
The film is directed by Nabendu Ghosh and produced by Nabendu Ghosh. The music is composed by Salil Choudhary. The story and screenplay is written by Saradindu Bandopaddhyay. The star cast includes Alok Nath,Nana Patekar,Nitish Bharadwaj and Pallavi Joshi.
