Tunnu is obsessed with becoming rich and living a life of luxury. He thus thinks marrying a wealthy girl will bring him the riches. He first falls in love with Malti who is from a middle class background, and leaves her when he comes across a rich girl named Tina. When Tunnu’s younger sister falls in love with a petty thief and runs away with him, her father isn’t able to take the shock and dies of a heart attack. Meanwhile Tina decides to leave the college and goes to a hostel to complete her studies. Tunnu however, is still harboring dreams of marrying her and getting a share of her riches. The movie is directed by Paresh Kumar and produced by N F D C. The music is composed by Vishal Bharadwaj and the lyrics are written by Bharat Acharya.
The star cast of the movie includes Sunil Barve, Veerendra Saxena, Rajeshwari, Renuka Shahane, Ninad Kamath, Aditi Despande, Sadia Siddiqui and Rohini Hattangadi.
