Justice Roy is a traditional and conventional man. He is intolerant towards the youth and their modern attitudes towards the society. He has brought up his own daughter Shobha with utmost values and traditions. Unfortunately she falls in love with an unemployed youth named Ramesh and Roy is furious to learn this. He however reasons with her that until and unless he gets a decent employment, their marriage is next to impossible. Thus Ramesh gets a job at a textile mill and is about to receive a bonus for his hard work. At the ceremony just before Ramesh could accept the bonus, a woman comes out of no where and claims that she is his wife and he has abandoned her. The film is directed and produced by Subodh Mukherji. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan. The screenplay is written by Ranjan Bose. The star cast includes Raj Babbar, Rati Agnihotri, Deven Verma, Madan Puri and Dinesh Thakur.
