The story revolves around four friends Maya, played by Kangana Ranaut, Kalim, played by Angad Bedi, Gautam, played by Neil Bhoopalam and Abhay, played by Randeep Hooda. These 4 create a gang called the Ungli gang to fight corrupt people and teach them a lesson. ACP Kaale, played by Sanjay along with the police commissioner and DCP decide to crack the Ungli gang.
Kaale later goes to another police station where he hears his colleague complaining about his recruit Nikhil, played by Emraan Hashmi and his horrible act of crime. Nikhil saves people from a bomb exploding in a college. Kaale is impressed by this and meets his mother. She tells Kaale that Nikhil always had qualities like his father and he would be ready to take any risk. Kaale later tells him about the Ungli gang and Nikhil decides to join the gang and somehow is successful.
Maya sees his passion and skills and admits him in the group and tells him how the group was formed years back. Nikhil poses as a law student to distract them. He hears how they have all suffered injustice in some way or another and sympathizes with them. He later convinces Kaale to not see them as a criminal gang but one that this society is badly in need of today. The movie is directed by Rensil D’Silva and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. The music is composed by Salim-sulaiman, Sachin-Jigar, Aslam Keyi and Gulraj Singh.
