The opening scene of the movie shows a mother and son traveling to Hardwar to attend the funeral of the mother's older son, who had fled from home and was thought to have passed away. However, the mother finds her long-lost son on the banks of the Ganga and brings him home. He is Bharath Pisharody, a renowned professor of Sanskrit who is adored and admired by all, including his cousin.
