Set in the 13th century, Kerala, Veeram is the story of a folkloric anti-hero called Chandu. He is consumed by the ambition to get the supreme power all to himself. He thus begins a bloodbath, where anyone who comes in the way of his goals will die. One murder leads to another and another, and it wreaks havoc in their lives. He is told that he will be the ruler and he believes it. Violence and slaughter are inevitable in this tale that is inspired from William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.The film is directed by Jayaraj and produced by Chandramohan D Pillai and Pradeep Rajan. The music is composed by Jeff Rona and the screenplay is written by Jayaraj. The dialogue is written by Dr.Gokulnath Ammanathil and Mary Ryan. The cinematography is by S Kumar.
