Chandrakant works as a watchman for Jaidev and his family comprising of his wife, son and two brother namely; Mahadev and Shahdev. On a fateful night Mahadev comes home to a gory scene of murder. His brother Jaidev and his family have been brutally killed. All the evidence points towards Chandrakant. He pleads innocent but he is tried in court and found guilty and given life in prison. Chandrakant’s daughter Rekha fends for herself and one day meets a wealthy man Amit and they both fall in love. His parents however demand a hefty dowry but she is unable to arrange for it. She then takes help from a compassionate man named Veeru who takes her as his sister and promises the money soon.
Meanwhile Chandrakant has escaped jail but is captured by Mahadev and Shahdev, who want to kill him. To Rekha’s shock the man who helped the two brothers capture her father is non other than Veeru himself. The film is directed by K R Reddy and produced by Rambabu. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the story is written by M D Sunder. The star cast includes Dharamendra,Aditya Pancholi, Amrita Singh, Annu Kapoor, Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Suhas Joshi.
