Ram, played by Anupam Kher has great big aspirations for his son Vijay, played by Harman Baweja, to play for India in the Indian cricket team. He practices hard and with focus and dedication gets selected in the team. His childhood friend Nandini, played by Amrita Rao is proud of him and so are his friends, however the joy is short-lived, as the fame gets to Vijay’s head and soon he thrown out of the team. All his hard work and earned respect from his seniors is lost in a fraction of a second.
Hearing of him not being in the Indian cricket team, Ram sufferers a brain hemorrhage and is taken by Nandini and Vijay to Australia for surgery. He miraculously recovers and Vijay starts to fall in love with Nandini. However she is skeptical about his behavior in future. Vijay then vows to be a better cricketer and prove his detractors wrong. He is overjoyed when he gets selected for a major international tournament. Finally Vijay wins the tournament and he returns to his home town. His father Ram unfortunately dies the next day in his arms.
The movie is directed by Ajit Pal Mangat and produced by Manmohan Shetty and Ajit Pal Mangat. The music is composed by Anu Malik.
