Vidya is an Emotional-Romantic Musical-Thriller Family Drama Film crafted with excellence by Girish Trivedi. The Story revolves around the life of Chandrashekhar- known as Chandu (played by Dev Anand)- a kind boy- who helped his father- a cobbler in his shop and Vidya (played by Suraiya)- a sweet girl from a wealthy family helps him for his education and together they fell in love- but Harilal (played by Madan Puri)- an alcoholic father of Vidya hates Chandu- because he comes from a Lower caste, leading to consequences.
