Jai Verma, is unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. He is however honest and kind hearted. He looks for a decent job everywhere but is unable to find one. Finally one day he ends up crossing paths with a mafia don called Rai Bahadur, who is looking for frustrated young men like Jai to work for him. Jai left with no choice begins to be part of Bahadur’s gang. However after a while when Jai revolts, he is asked to be eliminated by Rai Bahadur’s men. Jai now doesn’t want to take a chance and flees to Sharjah, where he gets a plastic surgery done to his face and looks completely different so that no one can recognize him.
Jai now changes his name to Ajay Khanna. He then marries his old sweetheart Radha and marries her. Soon she gives birth to a son named Ravi and he grows up wanting to be a police officer. The film is directed by Faroogh Siddiqui and produced by Yasin Latiwala. The music is composed by A R Rehman and the lyrics are written by Mehboob and P K Mishra. The cinematography is by Dharma Teja, and the choreography is by Jay Borade and Rekha Chinni Prakash. The star cast includes Jackie Shroff, Sharad S Kapoor, Ayesha Jhulka, Pooja Batra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Mushtaq Khan, Avtar Gill, Wajeed Pradhan, Amrit Patel, Shehzad Khan, Vikas Anand, Kanika and Shama Deshpande.
