Amritlal, played by Rajesh Khanna is a wealthy and successful businessman, living in Bangkok. He falls in love and marries a woman named Beena, who is much younger to him. She initially is attracted to his wealth and status but also wants intimacy from him. Amritlal is unable to fulfill her wishes due to being a severe asthma patient. They are unable to consummate the marriage due to his health issues and this creates a rift between the two very early on in the marriage.
Beena, who is now feeling lonely, looks ofr love elsewhere and finds it with her chauffeur Raj. The two have an affair without the knowledge of Amritlal. However, not happy with going on with the affair in such a secret manner, Beena decides to get her husband out of her way. She hatches a plan to kill her husband and make it look like an accident. Then she continues with her affair with Raj. However everyone is shocked when one day a man walks up to Beena and tells her that he is Amritlal, and he looks exactly like him.
The movie is directed by Rakesh Swant and produced by Shambu Pandey. The music is composed by Ravi Pawar and Syed Ahmed. The star cast includes Sara Khan, Sudesh Berry and Tinu Anand.
