Anjali, played by Sai Tamhankar, lives in a village and has always taken up causes that riddle her people living there. A woman in her village get raped by a politician and with nowhere to go for help and no hope of justice in sight she confides in Anjali. She protests against the 75 year old politician and demands justice for the helpless woman.
The police inspector who Anjali approaches, refuses to file their FIR, fearing that he might lose his job and life. Anjali undeterred visits the police station again this time with her laywer and receive yet another strong refusal. Anjali and the lawyer go to the media for help but get the same reaction and answer.
The accused politician, meanwhile doesn’t react or even acknowledge the girl’s and her lawyer’s pleas. Political parties and the media on hearing the news go into a frenzy and mahila mandals as well as the opposition parties add fuel to the fire. Later in twist of fate, it is revealed that the girl was lying all along and the reason is even more disturbing.
The movie is directed by Babloo Seshadri and produced by Anjula Singh Maho, Ashok Kaushik and Vinay Singh. The music is composed by Shankar Sahney.
