The film deals with the complexities of a man women relationship in an unusual situation where a couple starts living together without the bond of marriage, a rare practice called Chapania, which prevails in the rural society. The story depicts the boldness of a self-righteous lonely rape victim, Pokhila, who entangles herself in a complex situation by deciding to keep a man with her without marriage. In course of time, the man leaves her for a widow. But later he comes back after the death of the widow and expects Pokhila to accept him and his children. It's now Pokhila's turn to respond.
