Ajay’s father Anand Sahany is a deputy commissioner of police. He lands into trouble when he captures criminal Somnath’s man and refuses to release him in spite of Somnath’s threats. The latter finally kidnaps Anand’s sister’s son Kapil thinking him to be Ajay. The two boys had always been close to each other. Ajay had a dream of becoming a police officer and Kapil to become a doctor. The captured man of Somnath is ultimately shot dead by his own men and he then releases Kapil. However when Anand and Kapil are on their way they are shot and their jeep falls into the hills. Anand dies on the spot while Kapil is presumed dead.
Some years later Ajay becomes a doctor to honor the wishes of Kapil and unknowingly works in the hospital built by other than Somnath. In that area a retired Army officer named Thakur, lives with his son Ravi and daughter Suman. Later it turns out that Ravi is non other than Kapil who was found by Thakur in an unconscious state. He had lost his memory but soon regains it after meeting Ajay. Somnath then realizes this and tries to capture them again but is killed in the attack.
The film is directed by Satyen Bose and produced by Kamla Singh. The music is composed by Alok Ganguly and the lyrics are written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. The star cast includes Raj Kiran, Rajan Sippy, Divya Rana, Ashok Kumar and Komal Mahuvakar.
