Simar, played by Priyanka Chopra and Nikhil, played by Arjun Rampal are a married couple who one night have a horrific car accident. Simar comes out practically unscathed, while Nikhil is critically injured. He is admitted to the hospital where Simar makes sure only the best doctors and surgeons operate on him. Nikhil soon makes a full recovery and is assisted home by his wife Simar. When Nikhil reaches home, he finds something doesn’t add up. His old files show that his life wasn’t as rosy as it was shown. His friends also tell him that Simar was having an affair and the night of the accident he wanted to file for a divorce.
On probing further Nikhil learns that Simar was having an affair with a man called Kabir and later he overhears her talking to him that their relationship is over. She goes to meet him one last time and Nikhil follows her. She meets Kabir at a secluded house and they have an argument. Turns out Kabir has been long dead and Simar was only faking talking to him and meeting him. On confronting her she confesses that a night before the accident Nikhil saw her and Kabir together and in a fit of rage killed him. The accident caused Nikhil’s memory to fade and thus thought it’s a good thing. She now wants to start afresh and Nikhil believes her this time.
Later Nikhil has flashbacks about seeing Kabir’s body being buried in snow and goes to the location. When he digs out his body, he realizes that his face is exactly like Nikhil’s. It dawns on him that he is in fact Kabir and the dead corpse is of Nikhil. On the night of the accident Nikhil was shot dead by Simar and later when Kabir and she had an accident she Kabir’s face reconstructed as Nikhil’s. Kabir gets Nikhil’s dead body to the cops and narrates the whole story.
The movie is directed by Girish Damija and produced by Sujit Kumar Singh. The story and screenplay is written by Vikram Bhatt. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
