There is a sudden explosion of the mall culture in India and almost everyone has been to a mall at least once in his or her life. Youngsters sometimes spend many hours doing nothing in the mall but just walking around and staying indoors, if only to experience the cool air-conditioning there. Apart from shopping, malls have become a common place to meet old and new people.
The story of Yeh Hai Lollipop revolves around a mall and a writer who is intrigued at the new culture and what happens inside the mall. Thus elderly writer Masoom, played by Om Puri is intrigued by different characters hanging around in the mall and decides to write a story based on them. After being out-of-work for a while now, he has got this opputunity to prove his credentials and wants to make the most of it.
Yeh Hai Lollipop is directed by Manoj Sharma and produced by Harshal Bhadane and S.A. Luthria. The music is composed by Praveen Bhardwaj and Rashid Khan and the singers include Brown Gal and Lil Golu. The star cast includes Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Himani Shivpuri, Sanjay Mishra, Chirag Thakkar, Hemant Pandey and Shilpa Anand. The cinematography is done by E Saravanan.
