Deven Yuvvraaj, played by Salman Khan is an aspiring and struggling singer who wants to make it big and marry his girlfriend Anushka, played by Katrina Kaif. Her father Dr.Banton dislikes Deven due to him not being well to do. He decides to sign an agreement to get rich wherein he must spend time with his 2 estranged brother Danny, played by Zayed Khan and Gyanesh, played by Anil Kapoor. Gyanesh, is mentally challenged and the other two brothers hatch a plan to take away his share of the money. Gyanesh and Anushka get on well and she even includes him in her orchestra. They come together and share a bond and forget about the money.
Their mother’s new husband tries to kill Gyanesh by poisoning him with his inhaler. They first show him a video of how his two brothers are conspiring to get him out of their way. A furious Gyanesh inhales the poison and collapses on stage while singing. He is rushed to the hospital and Dr Banton is asked to save him. Dr. Banton points out to Deven that the only reason he wants to save his brother is to have his money and marry his daughter, however an emotional Deven says he now cares about his brother more and would rather not marry his daughter after he is safe. This changes Dr. Banton’s mind and he saves Gyanesh.
The movie is directed and produced by Subhash Ghai. The music is composed by A.R. Rahman.
