Zakhmee is produced by Tahir Hussain and is directed by Raja Thakur. Released in 1975 the film starring Sunil Dutt, Asha Parekh, Rakesh Roshan, Reena Roy in the lead roles and Tariq, Helen, Johny Walker, Iftekar and Agha in the supporting role.
The story is about Asha (Asha Parekh) and Anand (Sunil Dutt) who are newlyweds. On the night of his marriage, Anand is arrested for allegedly killing his business partner. In his trail he does not seek any lawyer in his favor thus it is concluded that Anand is the murderer. His brothers Amar (Rakesh Roshan) and Pavan (Tariq) refuse to believe that their brother is the killer. Unable to get the case in their favor they kidnap the Judge’s daughter Nisha (Reena Roy) in order to blackmail the judge into releasing Anandn and declaring him not guilty. However, their plan has disastrous results leading to consequences they too have to face.
